New Safety Incident Reporting System to Launch at Lakeland

by Abigail Tippin | Aug 10, 2021
A new safety incident reporting system will launch at Lakeland.

September 14 marks the launch of our new and exciting team member safety incident reporting system SafetyPause. SafetyPause will be replacing the Employee Injury module in Midas.

The transition to SafetyPause is part of our integration with Spectrum Health and will allow safety incident tracking to be done on a common platform. Spectrum Health West Michigan began using SafetyPause in October of 2020.

This software will enable us to track and trend injuries, exposures, safety concerns, near misses and good catches. This real-time data will allow us to efficiently prioritize and target team member safety improvement efforts.

With SafetyPause, a “Care and Learn” model is used to encourage conversations between leaders and team members to listen and learn from safety events. The trust developed in these interactions will enhance our culture of safety at Spectrum Health Lakeland.

Training for leaders became available August 10 and team member training will be available August 30 through Workday.
